As I wrap up today which is Veterans Day I think of those service men and women who are currently serving and do so often away from those they love in places most people would not dare to go. I thank you for all your sacrifices to keep us safe. I also think of those men and women who serve our country as contractors and who share in the sacrifice to keep us safe. I also remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
I think it is fitting to also remember those nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff who are caring for those who are sick and ill with all types of infirmities. I especially want to thank those doctors and nurses who are on the line treating patients who suffer from Covid-19. Just like those who ran into the towers on 9/11 and are heroes for doing so, those doctors and nurses in our hospitals choose to walk toward the danger of the virus and not away. They are heroes also and I hope if you encounter a nurse or a doctor you will thank them and I hope you will honor them by saying a prayer for them. May God bless our nurses and doctors as well as our military men and women. You are all my heroes!
