Number 62!

It just seems like yesterday I was celebrating turning 60 years old. In a matter of days, I will be turning 62! I am left to wonder more than have feelings of Oh, I am getting older poor me! I am left to wondering because I never thought I would make it to 62 years of age. Yet, I am about to reach it. I am so thankful just to be living and I have no real regrets because many of those friends I had growing up are no longer here but have passed over to the other side.

While I will likely be slowing down, I am looking to live life to the full. Part of living life to the full will start in September when I hope to go to Spain and do part of the Camino or the Way of St. James with my family. I have plans on continuing to volunteer with the Friends for Life Group co-leading a small group and co-leading a small Bible Study. (Friends for Life is made up of young adults who have been a part of YoungLife Tucson)

I am hoping as we move out of Covid that I have the opportunity to travel and visit with some friends and we can catch up where we left off. I am also hoping to go back to visit some new places and get nearer to the goal of visiting all 50 states.

Here is what I am thankful for:

I am so thankful for my mother and my family. I know I can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

I am thankful for my friend Lisa who has helped me reshape my life and who has helped me see who I am and has helped me grow into that person.

I am thankful to all those young adults in FFL who are my people and thanks for welcoming me in the community and allowing me to share with you.

I am thankful for the freedom and Grace which God has given to me and on which I rely.
