About me and my blogs

Born and raised in Arizona, I have also lived in Colorado and Texas. I returned home to Arizona after my father passed away suddenly in 2006. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of roles, including serving on staff with Young Life, where I worked with students with disabilities. I have also been employed as a cashier and as an office assistant.

If you ask anyone who has spent time with me, they would likely say I have two God-given gifts: encouragement and a heart for serving others in whatever role is needed.

I believe the greatest misconception people have about me is the assumption that my disability limits my ability to accomplish certain tasks. While my approach may look different, my determination and capability remain strong.

I value honesty, truth, keeping one’s word, and owning up to mistakes when they are made.

Why do this? I have a love-hate relationship with computers, yet they remain a powerful way to connect with others. Today, much of that connection happens through our phones. I created this space several years ago as a way to connect with people and to document thoughts and ideas for family and friends. When I am no longer able—or no longer around—I hope that when someone searches for me, some or all of this will appear for them to read. More than anything, I hope it encourages them and teaches them something meaningful.
